Memorandum of Understanding with Churches

Because we believe that God has ordained the local church, His Bride, to be the primary agent for His work in our world, we desire to clearly articulate some principles as we endeavor to complete the ministry He has assigned to us:

  1. We will only make a presentation at your church at your invitation. Normally this is extended by the vocational elder (pastor) of your church, but could also be by an invitation of your recognized leadership.

  2. We will be forthright in our dealings with all of the men - clear in our communication and expectations. We charge for the materials we provide the men who participate in our programs, and if our Boot Camp Speaker charges for his presentation, we will make that amount known before committing to an event. We also endeavor, but cannot promise, that we will have scholarship funds available for any man who is struggling financially.

  3. Our Statement of Faith is available on our website: if there are concerns about any of the points, we ask that you present those before we schedule an event.

  4. We want you to know that any participants in our program understand that we are a non-profit ministry, and also have financial needs. However, we will always, always tell participants that their first giving goes to their local church. Our desire is to be a complement to your ministry, not a competitor.

  5. You should know that we believe that marriage is a God-initiated institution, and is designed by Him to be between one man and one woman for life.

  6. Our desire is to glorify God in all that we do in Broken Strength, so if any of our staff or volunteers act or speak in a way that brings His Name into potential disrepute, we implore you to contact us immediately.

  7. The materials we use are open for your inspection at any time, as are our financial records.
